I miss these girls!

This weekend I had a "reunion" party with my old roommates. Of course, our girls night had to include pumpkin cookies and donuts. These girls are wonderful :) They were there for me when I met Brady, started dating, got engaged, and got married! Love them to pieces!

Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin

It's officially my favorite season of the year! While my husband is pouting because of the cold weather, I can't wait for scarves, crunching leaves under my feet, yummy smells, cider, sweaters, and most importantly....pumpkin. Lots and LOTS of pumpkin :) My Pinterest page has recently been filled with whatever pumpkin delicacy I can hunt down. Breakfast, dessert, soup, dinner...we might possibly turn orange before winter comes ;)

There's one question that has puzzled my mind for a LONG time though. How does this...

Turn into this????

Does anyone know the answer to this question?? Because I am really interested :) Anyway, I'll let you know of any good recipes I test out if anyone wants to try! Meanwhile...someone might need to make sure we don't fall into a pumpkin coma.

Mission Call!

Lizz got her mission call today....and she's going to Frankfurt, Germany!! We are so excited for her and know she will do a fantastic job.

Every girl needs a sister. I didn't grow up having a sister in my family, but met wonderful girls who have become so close to me, they're like my sisters. My dear friend Lizz is one such gal. She and I have known each other since elementary school and roomed together our freshman and sophomore years of college. I am definitely who I am today in part because of her friendship! Thanks for putting up with me for two years straight haha and being there for me for the ups and downs of life, Lizz. Good luck in Germany, sis!

Jon Schmidt Concert

The Nielsen's took Brady and I to the John Schmidt concert yesterday! The concert was held at the Thanksgiving Point Amphitheater....and it was pouring rain for most of the concert. People were huddled in ponchos or rain jackets under umbrellas. Unfortunately Brady and I came unprepared for the weather (we need to work on our boy scout motto apparently...), but Kate and Nick saved the day! We had a tarp wrapped around our legs and blankets to cuddle in.

Despite the foul weather, Jon Schmidt and the Piano Guys were AMAZING!! Pure talent. Our applause were especially thunderous...pun intended haha.
